Inspiration Workshop | Favorite Shop
Once again I am linking up with Gussy for her Inspiration Workshop. Check out all the inspiration on her blog where many other awesome bloggers link their posts as well. This week’s prompt is “Favorite Shop” and oh boy do I have a fun shop to share with you! Since I love shopping so much, you can bet I have a lot of different favorite shops. Here’s my absolute favorite though.

If you know me at all, you know that I love cupcakes… a lot. When my husband and I moved from Boston to our current home in the Twin Cities, I knew I was leaving behind some amazing cupcakes on the East Coast. I immediately went on a quest to find my favorite in Minnesota, and boy did I find it!

Shortly after we moved here, Cocoa & Fig opened it’s doors in downtown Minneapolis. They operate out of a small shop on the second level of beautiful Gaviidae Common. The shop itself is scruptious looking… simply beautiful. They offer cupcakes, cake pops, and french macarons in many different flavors. I’ve tried nearly all of them by now. :) I find myself there pretty often as it’s one of the first places I bring visitors to the area. It’s a fun place area of the city to explore, especially with a tummy full of cupcake goodness.

If you find yourself there, and I hope you do (and I hope you call me so I can meet you there!) get the Black Velvet cupcake. If you like chocolate at all, you won’t be sorry. I have tried many (many!) cupcakes and this is my absolute favorite. The cake is moist and delicious and the frosting is perfectly light and whipped. (Are you hungry yet? I am!

What’s your favorite shop? Maybe it’s a cute cupcake shop like Cocoa & Fig? If so, let me know so I can add it to my list of places to try!
Check out all the rest of the inspiration over at the Gussy Sews Blog and a big thanks to Maggie for hosting this fun feature every week!
